Mental Health: publish resources and manage community quotes

Configure the network’s public resource directory and optional Discord quote destinations, with owner-only editing and a manager viewing link.

This guide describes the available features. Your account role, assigned modules, signed contract and network plan determine which controls you can use. Reading a guide does not change your access.

Start here

  1. Owners: review Portal & schedule settings, write a public introduction and choose whether to publish the resource centre.
  2. Review the starter resources, edit their descriptions and contact details as needed, and publish only the entries you want displayed.
  3. Copy and open the public share link to check the directory a creator will see.
  4. For Discord quotes, save one quote per line, add at least one active webhook and use Post now when ready to send a quote. Enable scheduled posting separately if wanted.
  5. Managers: use Open resource centre to view the directory; ask the account owner to change resources or delivery settings.

Publish the public resource centre

Only the main customer account can change resources, quotes, webhooks and publication settings. Managers have a viewing page with Open resource centre. The public introduction accepts up to 2,000 characters and appears with the network’s published directory.

Publish public resource centre controls whether the public network link is available. Enable daily scheduled quote posting controls the separate quote schedule. Save settings after changing either switch. Publishing resources does not itself enable quote delivery.

This module is a directory and signposting tool. Its emergency notice and informational explanation remain visible in the public portal. Use the provider’s own website to verify contact details and availability when maintaining an entry.

Add, edit, hide and delete resources

The starter resources can be edited, hidden, deleted or supplemented. Use Edit in the resource table to load an entry into the form; Save resource stores the changes and Cancel leaves edit mode. Add resource creates a new entry.

Published controls whether the entry appears publicly. Highlight as crisis support adds the crisis emphasis; it does not verify a resource or provide a response service. Delete removes that resource after confirmation.

Understand the public visitor experience

The public portal needs a valid network link and published portal setting. It groups active resources by category, displays country badges and shows the saved contact details, website links and availability. It does not require a dashboard login.

A visitor who sees Resource centre not available may have an incomplete link or the owner may have unpublished the portal. If the directory opens but shows no resources, publish individual resources as well as the portal itself.

Build the quote list and destinations

Quotes accepts one quote per line, up to 500 quotes and 1,600 characters per quote. Blank and duplicate lines are removed. Save all quotes replaces the saved list with the complete text currently in the box, so keep any lines you want to retain.

Add a webhook Name, a valid Discord webhook URL and its Active switch. The name should make the destination recognizable. Each account’s random quotes go only to that account’s active destinations. Edit can change a webhook or pause it; Delete removes that destination. Keep webhook URLs private.

Post a quote and diagnose delivery

Post now selects a random active quote and sends it to every active webhook independently of the daily schedule. It is a real send action, not a preview. Review the result message and each webhook’s Delivery status, last-posted time and error.

The button is unavailable without quote or webhook records, or when an administrator has suspended delivery. Paused webhooks are not active destinations. A suspension notice names the administrator-provided reason when present. Ask the account owner or administrator to resolve configuration or suspension issues before expecting scheduled messages.

Frequently asked questions

Can a manager edit the directory?

No. Only the main customer account changes settings, resources, quotes and webhooks. Managers can open the public resource centre.

Why are my resources missing from the public page?

Both the portal and the individual resources must be published. Check the network link and each resource’s Published status.

Does Post now only test one channel?

No. It sends a selected quote to all active webhooks for the account.

Will adding one line append it to the old quote list?

Save all quotes saves the entire box as the replacement list. Leave existing quotes in the box if you want to keep them.

Still stuck? Note the page name, the step you tried and the exact message shown. Managers and sub-users should contact their network owner; owners should contact their platform administrator. Never include passwords, webhook URLs, recovery links or private identity documents in a general support message.
