Profile Ring Designer: upload overlays and create profile images
Build a ring library, let creators use a share link and download a correctly positioned profile image.
This guide describes the available features. Your account role, assigned modules, signed contract and network plan determine which controls you can use. Reading a guide does not change your access.
Start here
- Open Ring Library and upload a centered, preferably square transparent PNG or WEBP ring. Each file must be 8 MB or less.
- Choose whether uploaded rings should appear on the Public Network Hub, then select Upload Ring Images.
- Choose Use on a ring to open Designer, select a creator photo and move or scale the photo until it fits beneath the fixed ring.
- Select output size and background, check the Preview and choose Download PNG or Download JPG.
- Use Copy Share Link when a creator should make their own image in the public designer.
Build the Ring Library
Ring Library accepts multiple images in one upload. PNG, JPG/JPEG and WEBP files are supported, but a transparent PNG or WEBP usually works best because the photo must remain visible through the middle. A centered square overlay, such as 500 by 500 pixels, makes alignment easier.
The network owner can see the owner’s uploads and manager uploads, with uploader labels. A sub-user’s library contains that sub-user’s own uploads. Managers can remove or change visibility only for rings they uploaded.
Publish uploaded rings to the Public Network Hub controls discovery on the public hub. Leaving it off makes a ring unlisted, but its share link still works for anyone who has it. Use the individual Publish to Network Hub or Remove from Network Hub button to change this later.
Choose inputs and position the photo
Use opens Designer with that ring selected. Alternatively, choose Designer and select a ring from Ring overlay. Add a Creator photo from your device. The creator photo stays in the browser; unlike the reusable ring overlay, it is not uploaded by this designer.
The ring position is locked. Move the photo underneath it with X offset, Y offset and Scale, or drag the photo directly on the preview canvas. X moves sideways; Y moves up and down; Scale makes the photo larger or smaller. Start with the face centered, then increase the photo until there are no unwanted gaps.
- X offset and Y offset
- Move the creator photo relative to the fixed ring. The sliders run from -250 to 250.
- Scale
- Adjust the photo from 20% to 200%.
- Canvas size
- Choose a square output of 500, 800, 1000 or 1080 pixels per side.
- Background
- Choose Transparent, White or Black behind the composition.
- Reset all offsets
- Return the positioning controls to their starting values so you can try the crop again.
Preview and download
Both a photo and a selected ring must be loaded before the download buttons become available. The on-screen preview may be smaller than the requested output size, but the selected canvas size controls the downloaded dimensions.
Download PNG is appropriate when you need to preserve transparency. Download JPG is an alternative image export and does not preserve transparent pixels. Open the downloaded image once to confirm that the face is framed correctly before uploading it to a profile. This page downloads a file; it does not change a TikTok profile automatically.
Let creators use the public designer
Copy Share Link or Open Share Link leads to a public designer for that single ring. The creator supplies their own photo, adjusts X, Y and Scale, chooses Image size and Background, and downloads PNG or JPG. The ring is already selected and remains fixed.
A ring can be unlisted on the hub and still usable through its share link. Deleting a ring removes it from the library and deactivates its share link. If a creator sees Profile ring not found, check whether the ring was deleted and send a working ring link. Removing a ring from the hub alone does not revoke its link.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the ring cover the whole photo?
The uploaded overlay may have an opaque center. Use a PNG or WEBP with a transparent opening; JPG cannot provide that transparency.
Why can I move the photo but not the ring?
The designer intentionally locks the ring position. Adjust the photo crop and scale beneath it.
Does unlisted mean nobody else can use the ring?
No. Unlisted removes it from hub discovery, while its public share link continues to work.
Where is the creator’s photo stored?
The selected photo is processed locally in the browser by this designer. The reusable uploaded ring itself is stored on the site.
