Read a public TikTok LIVE chat
Connect to a public LIVE, filter activity and optionally read comments aloud in your browser.
This guide describes the available features. Your account role, assigned modules, signed contract and network plan determine which controls you can use. Reading a guide does not change your access.
Start here
- Open TikTok LIVE Chat Reader and check that the reader is available.
- Enter a plain creator username, @username or full TikTok LIVE profile URL in Creator username or LIVE URL.
- Choose Connect and wait for the connection status. The creator needs to be broadcasting a public LIVE.
- Use the event filters to focus the activity feed. Open the voice controls if you want comments read aloud.
- Choose Disconnect when finished. Clear removes displayed feed entries; it is not a request to delete the site’s usage logs.
Connecting and reading the feed
This utility connects to public LIVE activity without your TikTok password. Check the creator username before connecting; a display name is not always the same as a username. The status area tells you whether the reader is connecting, active or unavailable.
The feed can show comments, gifts and social activity. Available event types and the session duration are controlled by the site. A quiet feed may mean there have been no new matching events, your filters hide them, or the stream has ended.
Use All, Chat, Gifts or Activity to choose the type of events shown. Reset / new creator prepares the reader for another creator; Disconnect stops the current connection, while Clear removes visible entries.
Using comment audio
The initial audio prompt lets you decide whether comment audio should be enabled by default. You can change speech playback using the Read comments aloud control in the voice menu. Browser audio often requires a click or tap before it can play.
Select a Voice and Speed supported by your browser. The voice list and speech availability depend on the device. If speech is unsupported or the controls are disabled, continue with the text feed. Comment audio is browser playback; it does not send a spoken message to TikTok.
On iPhone and iPad, keep Safari and the screen active when relying on speech; the device may suspend playback in the background.
Stopping, clearing and understanding retention
Disconnect ends your reader connection. Clear empties the current feed display. Neither action means historical records have been erased from the site.
Read the logging notice below the username field. Submitted creator usernames are recorded in an administrator-only aggregate usage log until cleared by an administrator. When site archiving is enabled, viewer names, comments, gifts and LIVE activity can also be stored for the retention period shown on the page. The notice shows whether archiving is currently enabled.
Connection troubleshooting
If the site says the reader is paused, the platform administrator must restore availability. If a single creator will not connect, verify the spelling and confirm that the public LIVE is still running.
A session has a displayed duration limit. Reconnect when a session expires if you still need the feed. For repeated connection errors across different live creators, report the visible message and time to the administrator; changing your account password will not repair the LIVE reader.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give the reader my TikTok password?
No. It reads public LIVE activity. Do not enter a TikTok password, session cookie or recovery code in the username field.
Why is there no sound?
Enable comment audio with a click or tap, check the device’s volume and voice controls, and make sure the browser supports speech playback. The feed can still work without audio.
Does Clear erase stored comments?
No. It clears the visible feed. The logging notice describes administrator-controlled usage logging and optional event archiving.
Can I read a private or ended LIVE?
This reader is for current public broadcasts. It cannot make an unavailable broadcast accessible.
Still stuck? Note the page name, the step you tried and the exact message shown. Managers and sub-users should contact their network owner; owners should contact their platform administrator. Never include passwords, webhook URLs, recovery links or private identity documents in a general support message.
