Case Uploads: public reports, evidence and handling notes

Provide a public case form, review submitted evidence as the owner and maintain the case status and handling record.

This guide describes the available features. Your account role, assigned modules, signed contract and network plan determine which controls you can use. Reading a guide does not change your access.

Start here

  1. As the main account, copy Public Case Link and share it with the person who needs to report a case.
  2. Ask the submitter to complete their details, Case name and Description, then upload optional evidence.
  3. Find the submitted case in the Case Uploads table and open its details.
  4. Read the description and evidence, then add Handling Notes with useful context or the next step.
  5. Change Status to In Progress while handling it, or Complete when the work is finished, and select Save.
  6. Use the shareable receipt only with people who should be able to see its description and evidence.

Who can manage cases

Case Uploads is restricted to the main customer account. Sub-users cannot open this management page, even if they can submit information through the public case form. The page receives cases from creators, team leaders, network members and members of the public.

Copy Link in Public Case Link copies the network’s submission form URL. This is a general intake link, not a specific case receipt. Check that the link identifies the intended network before distributing it.

Public tutorial: open a case

The public form does not require a manager login. Enter Full name, choose I am a, supply Contact email, and add optional Phone number, TikTok username or Other contact details. Use an email the network can use for follow-up.

Case name should be a short, specific title. Description is required and has no stated character limit on the form; explain what happened, when, who was involved and any action already taken. Optional evidence can make the account easier to understand.

  1. Open the network’s exact public case link. If Case link not available appears, ask the owner for a fresh link.
  2. Complete the required personal details and choose the appropriate submitter type.
  3. Enter a Case name and full Description.
  4. Select optional evidence files and check the file previews.
  5. Select Submit case and remain on the page while the upload progress completes.
  6. Wait for the receipt page confirming the case was reported, then save the receipt link.

Upload evidence and recover from failures

The public form accepts up to 20 supported evidence files, with up to 5 GB per file. Supported categories include documents, archives, images, audio and video; use the formats offered by the file picker. Evidence is optional, so a clear case description can be submitted without attachments.

Each file has its own progress display. JavaScript is required for this upload process. If a file fails, use Retry failed files. Submit without failed files finalises the case using the successfully uploaded files; review which files will be omitted before choosing it. Do not assume the case has been submitted until the receipt/confirmation appears.

Keep the tab open while a large file uploads. If an error occurs, read the progress message and use the provided recovery controls rather than creating repeated duplicate cases.

Owner tutorial: inspect Case Details

The table shows Submitted By, Case Name, Date Submitted, Status and the detail action. Use its search/sort controls to locate the correct case and open Case Details.

The detail view shows submitter and contact information, case name and description, the receipt link, any Known Creator Match and evidence. It can also show submission/device metadata recorded by the site. A known-creator match is contextual information, not proof that every statement in the report has been verified.

Evidence Files provides file name, type, size and upload time. Images, video and supported documents can be previewed; use Download Original when a preview is unsupported or when you need the original file for review. Verify the filename before downloading multiple similar attachments.

Record notes and status

Handling Notes accepts up to 10,000 characters per note. You can submit text, files or both; an entirely blank note without files is rejected. Note attachments have their own smaller limits: up to 10 files per note and 50 MB each, using supported text, image, video or PDF formats. Select Add Note and check the result.

Choose Submitted for a newly received case, In Progress for active handling or Complete for a finished case, then Save. Changing status records the handling state; it does not itself prove that someone has been contacted or that the case’s claims were resolved. Notes provide the context colleagues need to understand the outcome.

Use the shareable receipt deliberately

The public receipt confirms the report, shows its description and attached evidence, and provides Copy receipt link. Visitors with the receipt can use Open, Play, Read or Download for the available evidence. It is therefore more than a minimal submission reference number. Share it only with intended readers.

The owner can Copy or Open Receipt from Case Details. The receipt does not provide the owner’s internal status-editing, note-entry or deletion controls. Case receipt not found can mean the URL is invalid or the case is no longer available.

Delete only when the full case should be removed

Delete Case asks for confirmation to delete the case and all its evidence files and states that this cannot be undone. This is different from marking a case Complete. Complete retains the record; Delete Case removes it and can make its receipt unavailable.

If you merely finished handling the case, set the appropriate status and record an outcome note. Use deletion only when removal of the stored case is the intended action.

Frequently asked questions

Can a sub-user manage the Case Uploads queue?

No. Management is restricted to the main customer account. Sub-users and others can use the public report form when they have its link.

Are evidence files required to submit a case?

No. Evidence is optional; the required personal details, case name and description still need to be completed.

Why can a public report accept a larger file than a handling note?

They have different limits: public evidence allows up to 20 files at 5 GB each; handling notes allow up to 10 files at 50 MB each.

Can someone with the receipt view the evidence?

Yes. The receipt includes the description and evidence viewing/download controls. Share it only with intended readers.

Does Complete delete the case?

No. Complete records its status. Delete Case is a separate irreversible removal action.

What should a submitter do after an upload fails?

Use Retry failed files, or review the omission and choose Submit without failed files when offered. Wait for the final receipt before assuming submission succeeded.

Still stuck? Note the page name, the step you tried and the exact message shown. Managers and sub-users should contact their network owner; owners should contact their platform administrator. Never include passwords, webhook URLs, recovery links or private identity documents in a general support message.
