Creator Leads: sales pitches, qualification and assignment
Prepare personalised sales pitches, work through recruitment leads and distribute new leads to eligible managers.
This guide describes the available features. Your account role, assigned modules, signed contract and network plan determine which controls you can use. Reading a guide does not change your access.
Start here
- Open Creator Leads and locate a lead in the searchable table.
- Open Sales Pitches, enter your sender name, Team / Agency and TikTok scout link, and check the automatically filled Creator Network name. Select Save sender details and review your message templates.
- Return to Creator Leads, read the lead's Qualification, invitation type and country / region, then select Message in the Actions column. This copies a random pitch from your own library and opens the creator's TikTok chat in a new tab.
- Click the TikTok message box, paste with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V, review the message and send it when ready. If copying is blocked, use the selected message and copy instructions shown on Creator Leads.
- Message changes New leads to Contacted automatically. Use Outreach status to record later recruitment stages and wait for the saved confirmation.
- As owner, tick selected leads, choose an eligible sub-user and select Assign Selected if you need to distribute them.
Owner and manager views
The main account sees all leads allocated to its account and can assign or unassign them. A sub-user sees only leads assigned directly to that sub-user, and can update those leads’ statuses. This direct-assignment lead view is different from a creator report that includes a wider manager hierarchy.
This page manages leads already available to the account. It has no manual Add lead form or file-import control. If a manager has no leads, the owner should check assignment rather than asking the manager to upload a spreadsheet here.
Backstage availability qualification
New leads are automatically checked in TikTok Backstage before allocation. Qualified · Available means Backstage reported the creator available using an account for the displayed country / region. The check also records Regular, Premium or Elite invitation type and refreshes the creator’s display name and photo when available.
The checked date tells you when availability was confirmed; a creator’s circumstances can change afterwards. Ineligible results retain TikTok’s reason. Older leads without a recorded check show Not checked. The availability check does not send invitations or messages.
Qualification is separate from Outreach status. Updating your recruitment progress does not change the recorded Backstage result.
Open a lead's TikTok chat
Message and Profile are grouped buttons in the Actions column at the far right of each lead's row. Message copies a random pitch from your own saved Sales Pitches library, fills in your sender details and opens the creator's TikTok chat in a new browser tab. Owners use their own templates and sub-users use theirs. The owner can message any lead in their account; a sub-user can message only directly assigned leads. Sign in to TikTok in the same browser first; the site's Backstage connection does not sign you in to TikTok messaging.
Clicking Message also saves a change from New to Contacted. Leads already at another outreach status keep that status. The table updates after the save succeeds; an error above the table explains if it could not be saved. Contacted records the Message click, including when copying or opening TikTok needs a retry. Review and send the DM on TikTok yourself. Profile and Copy message alone do not change outreach status.
Complete your Sales Pitches sender setup and keep at least one template to enable automatic copying. If setup is incomplete, the library is empty or pitches cannot be loaded, Message still opens the chat and reports that nothing was copied. The selected pitch appears above the lead table after a selection. If clipboard access is blocked, copy that text manually or use Copy this message to retry, then select Open TikTok chat. Retrying keeps the same message. Use Open TikTok chat if your browser blocks the new tab after copying.
The first click may take a few seconds while the creator's TikTok account is looked up. If a direct chat cannot be opened, the new tab offers Open TikTok profile; select Message on that profile. The Profile button in Actions also opens their profile directly. If TikTok requests a login, sign in, then return to Creator Leads and select Message again if the chat did not reopen.
TikTok controls whether messaging is available, including privacy settings and message requests. The website cannot automatically paste into TikTok's message field. Click that field, paste with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V, review and send. If TikTok opens the general inbox, use the lead's Profile button and select Message there.
Set up your personal sales pitches
The Sales Pitches tab is available to the account owner and sub-users with Creator Leads access. Save your sender name, Team / Agency and TikTok scout link before any message templates appear. Use the application link copied from TikTok LIVE Backstage for the network you represent, not your TikTok profile or a video link.
Creator Network is filled automatically from the network name the account owner saved in Account Settings. Sub-users inherit that same network name. If it is missing, the owner must add it in Account Settings before anyone can use message templates. To change it, the owner updates the Creator Network field there, then reloads Sales Pitches.
Setup checks that the link has a supported TikTok URL format; it cannot confirm that the link is an active scout application or belongs to the intended network. Check the destination before using it in outreach.
Your sender name, Team / Agency, scout link and message library are personal to your login. The owner and each sub-user have separate sender settings and templates. You can change your saved setup later; previews and copied messages then use the updated values. Existing senders need to add their Team / Agency to continue using their saved library.
Choose, personalise and copy a message
The first completed setup adds 10 detailed starter messages to your personal library, with different angles on the Creator Growth Program, Solo Creator Program, managed creator pathways and Discord community. They cover confidence, consistency, audience engagement and progression, with light emoji use. Choose an angle that fits the creator and tailor the programme details to the network you represent before sending.
The starter messages include [SENDER_NAME], [TEAM_AGENCY], [CREATOR_NETWORK] and [SCOUT_LINK]. These become your sender name, team or agency, the account owner's network name and your scout link. For example: Hi, I'm [SENDER_NAME] from [TEAM_AGENCY], and I'm part of [CREATOR_NETWORK]. The preview shows the completed message, and Copy message copies that text without the template title.
Message in Creator Leads copies a random template each time it is clicked. To use a particular pitch, open the lead's chat first, then return to Sales Pitches and select Copy message on your chosen template. Paste into the already-open TikTok chat, review and send. If clipboard access is unavailable, select and copy the preview manually. Refresh the Leads page if you change sender details or templates in another browser tab. Copying does not send messages or change outreach status.
Manage your message library
You can add your own templates and edit or remove any template, including the starter messages. Use a title that helps you recognise the pitch. The message body can use any combination of [SENDER_NAME], [TEAM_AGENCY], [CREATOR_NETWORK] and [SCOUT_LINK], or no tags. Write supported tags exactly as shown; other tag names are not accepted. Complete sender details and the account owner's network name are still required to use the library.
A library can contain up to 100 templates. Titles can contain up to 100 characters and message bodies up to 2,000 characters. Use Add template to save a new message, or Edit and Save changes to update an existing one. The preview and Copy message use the saved template.
Expand Remove and select Remove template to delete a template from your personal library. Starter messages are added only once; removing them or returning to the tab does not bring them back. Changes to your library do not affect another user's templates.
Track outreach using the status menu
Change the status in the lead’s row after the underlying event has happened. The page saves a status change and reports success or failure. Status labels organise your recruitment work; selecting a status does not send a message, submit a TikTok application or join the creator to a network automatically.
- New
- Not yet progressed through your recruitment workflow. This outreach status is separate from the automated qualification check.
- Contacted
- Message was clicked for a New lead, or outreach was recorded manually. Send and review the actual DM in TikTok.
- Not Interested
- The creator has indicated they do not want to continue.
- In a Network
- The lead is already in a network.
- Interested
- The creator has expressed interest and needs a next step.
- Applied
- An application has been made through the relevant process.
- Approved / Joined
- The recruitment process has reached approval or joining.
- Rejected
- The lead has not been accepted.
- Inactive / Lost
- The lead is no longer actively progressing.
Assign or unassign selected leads as owner
Use the table search to narrow a batch, tick the correct rows, select a manager in Assign selected to sub-user and choose Assign Selected. Selections are retained across table pages, so review your intended batch before submitting. Unassign Selected removes the current sub-user assignment from the selected leads.
The manager picker contains eligible active sub-users. If contracts are enabled, a manager must have signed the current active contract. When contracts are enabled but no active contract exists, assignment is paused. A missing manager in the picker is therefore not always a missing user account.
Set daily automatic quotas
Daily Auto Assignment distributes your new, unassigned leads. Search display name and Search manager name help find the right configuration row. Set Leads per day from 0 to 10,000, turn Enabled on for intended recipients and select Save Auto Assignment Settings.
Assigned today, Total auto-assigned and Last processed show what has happened. Run Today’s Assignment Now processes the remaining quota for the day; it can report unfilled quota when there are not enough new unassigned leads. It does not create extra leads. Suspended managers or managers lacking a required signature cannot be enabled as eligible recipients.
Saving settings defines the quotas. The manual Run Today’s Assignment Now control provides an immediate run; ongoing automatic processing also depends on the site’s scheduled allocation service.
Troubleshooting
Select at least one lead before assigning or unassigning, and select an eligible sub-user before Assign Selected. If a status update fails, refresh and check that the lead is still assigned to you. An expired session message requires a refresh before retrying.
An allocation run with fewer leads than the quota can be normal when the unassigned pool is exhausted. If your table is empty, clear its search and ask the owner to check your assignment.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my manager account show fewer leads than the owner?
Sub-users see leads assigned directly to them. The owner sees the account’s full lead pool.
Why is a manager locked in Daily Auto Assignment?
Check whether the manager is active and, when contracts are enabled, has signed the current active contract.
Does Run Today’s Assignment Now give everyone another full quota?
It processes the remaining daily allocation and respects leads already allocated that day.
Why are the sales pitch templates hidden?
Save your sender name, Team / Agency and a valid TikTok scout link in Sales Pitches first. The owner must also have a Creator Network name saved in Account Settings. Each owner and sub-user completes their own sender setup.
Will changing my scout link update my templates?
Messages containing [SCOUT_LINK] use the latest saved link in previews and newly copied messages. A link typed directly into a template or text already copied elsewhere does not change.
Can I edit the 10 starter messages?
Yes. They are editable templates in your personal library. You can also remove them or add your own messages. Use [SENDER_NAME], [TEAM_AGENCY], [CREATOR_NETWORK] and [SCOUT_LINK] wherever you want those details inserted; each tag is optional in a message.
Does changing a lead to Contacted send a message?
No. It records a recruitment status. Perform the actual communication through your normal channel.
Still stuck? Note the page name, the step you tried and the exact message shown. Managers and sub-users should contact their network owner; owners should contact their platform administrator. Never include passwords, webhook URLs, recovery links or private identity documents in a general support message.
