This guide describes the available features. Your account role, assigned modules, signed contract and network plan determine which controls you can use. Reading a guide does not change your access.

Start here

  1. Open Public Page Analytics as the network owner and choose Last 7, 30, 90 or 365 days.
  2. Compare Views, Unique Viewers, Sessions and Views Today while keeping their different definitions in mind.
  3. Review Views over time and the Pages and Resources tabs under Content performance.
  4. Explore Viewer locations with zoom or Full screen, then compare Devices, Top countries and Traffic sources.
  5. Expand Detailed viewer log only when you need the underlying time, device, location, IP or referrer detail.

Set the reporting period and understand the counts

The Date range selector reloads the page for the last 7, 30, 90 or 365 days. Views counts tracked public page and resource opens. Unique Viewers uses distinct first-party visitor signatures, while Sessions counts distinct browsing sessions. A person can generate multiple views or sessions.

Audience totals exclude detected bots and your own logged-in visits. Views Today also notes how many bot views were excluded in the selected period. These are site tracking counts, not a count of verified individual people.

Compare content performance

Views over time shows daily audience activity. Content performance has Pages and Resources tabs; inspect both because a page visit and an individual resource open describe different engagement. Open the relevant item when you need to connect a count to the actual published content.

No page views recorded yet means tracked traffic has not been recorded in this view. No resources have been published means the resource list itself needs content. A published item with no recorded activity is different from an unpublished hub.

Explore locations, devices and sources

Viewer locations uses approximate IP geolocation and clusters locations as you zoom out. Drag to explore, scroll to zoom and select a marker for details. Full screen opens a larger map. Locations appear only after visitors have been geolocated.

Devices summarises the detected device categories. Top countries groups available location data. Traffic sources summarises recorded referrer information. Missing referrer or location detail is not proof of suspicious activity; a visitor may not provide those details, and location can represent an internet provider or VPN.

Use the Detailed viewer log appropriately

Detailed viewer log expands the individual recorded views with time, IP, device, location and referrer data. Use it to investigate a specific tracking event after reviewing the aggregate panels. This page is available only to the main account.

The page explains that IP addresses and device details are personal data and retained for 365 days by default. Its privacy note asks the network to explain this analytics use in its public privacy notice. Share screenshots or exported details only with an audience appropriate for the information they reveal.

Frequently asked questions

Why does visiting my own page not increase the audience count?

Your own logged-in visits are excluded from audience views, along with detected bot traffic.

Is Unique Viewers an exact count of people?

No. It is a count of distinct first-party visitor signatures. Different browsers or devices can affect how visits are distinguished.

Why is the map empty when there are views?

The map needs geolocated visitor data. Some recorded views may not yet have usable location information.

Is the map an exact address?

No. IP geolocation is approximate and may represent a provider or VPN location. Do not interpret a marker as a verified home address.

Can sub-users access this report?

No. Public audience analytics are restricted to the network’s main account.
