Create a tournament and open creator registration

Build a bracket, publish understandable rules and schedule, and fill its places now or through public registration.

This guide describes the available features. Your account role, assigned modules, signed contract and network plan determine which controls you can use. Reading a guide does not change your access.

Start here

  1. Choose Create Tournament, enter Tournament Name and select Required Creator Slots: 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 or 128.
  2. Write Tournament Description and review the included Tournament Rules & Match Requirements starter text.
  3. Set Battle Duration, Required Match Type, Tournament Rules, Gifting Rules and Conduct Expectations appropriate to your event.
  4. Choose Tournament Start Date and 1, 2 or 3 Days Between Rounds.
  5. Optionally select creators and randomise their seeding, then choose Create Tournament.
  6. Open the saved tournament, review its public pages and share the Public creator registration link to fill remaining places.

Choose capacity and decide whether to add creators now

Required Creator Slots determines the bracket capacity. Valid sizes are 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128. Adding creators during creation is optional: a tournament can start with no participants and fill later. You cannot select more creators than the required size.

The creator picker contains active creators available to your account scope. Search creators narrows the visible list. Select All and Clear change selection, Random Picks offers available sample sizes, and Randomize Seeding changes the order of selected entries. Review the selected count before creating. No existing creators does not prevent creating the bracket, but registrations still require eligible network creators later.

Write public information and rules

Tournament Description appears on both registration and public tournament pages and is limited to 3,000 characters. The starter rules are editable; review them instead of assuming they already fit your event. Creators are asked to accept these published rules during public registration.

Tournament Name
Use a distinct event name that creators can recognise.
Battle Duration (minutes)
When provided, use a whole number from 1 to 1,440.
Required Match Type
Describe the required format, up to 120 characters.
Tournament Rules
Explain the competition-specific rules in up to 5,000 characters.
Gifting Rules
Explain permitted gifting behaviour in up to 5,000 characters.
Conduct Expectations
Explain expected participant conduct in up to 5,000 characters.

Set the round schedule

Tournament Start Date is the date for Round 1. Days Between Rounds must be 1, 2 or 3 and is applied consistently between rounds. For example, a two-day spacing means each round is dated two calendar days after the previous round.

This schedule sets round dates; it is not an individual battle-time booking form. Include any coordination instructions in the public description or rules. Review the resulting Scheduled Rounds in the editor after creation. Invalid dates or spacing prevent saving.

Guide creators through public registration

The Public creator registration link opens a page without requiring a dashboard login. It displays Places available, Tournament Dates and Rules & Match Requirements before Reserve your place. The participant searches Creator username and selects the correct eligible network creator.

The participant must confirm the participation agreement and read and accept the tournament rules and match requirements, then choose Register for Tournament. Registration immediately reserves the next available seed. This is different from the event planner’s request-for-review form. An already registered creator is recognised instead of added again.

If the creator is absent, check that the creator is active and belongs to the network; the public form does not provide a free-text external-creator signup. No creators available can mean every active eligible creator is already entered. Registration closes when all places are filled or the tournament is no longer accepting entries. Capacity is checked at submission, so a place can be taken while the form is open.

Verify after creation

A successful creation opens the tournament editor. Check the name, capacity, roster, schedule and published rules before sharing. Fill Open Seeds can add eligible creators later. A partially filled roster cannot be treated as ready for result entry; the editor requires all required places to be filled before choosing winners.

Manually added creators do not automatically acquire a recorded public rules acceptance. Review the Reporting tab’s Rules column if you need to check which participants accepted through registration.

Frequently asked questions

Must I select every creator before creating?

No. You can create with no creators or a partial selection and fill places later through the editor or public registration.

Can an outside creator type a new username into registration?

The form selects from eligible active creators in the network. If the person is missing, the organiser must check the creator directory and status.

Does a public registration wait for approval?

No. Successful tournament registration reserves the next available seed directly until capacity is filled.

Do added-by-owner creators show recorded rules acceptance?

Only a recorded acceptance is shown as Accepted. Check the Reporting tab; manually adding a creator does not itself perform the public acceptance step.

Can I change the required size later?

The editor can increase to a larger supported size before winners are set. It does not provide a normal decrease-size control.

Still stuck? Note the page name, the step you tried and the exact message shown. Managers and sub-users should contact their network owner; owners should contact their platform administrator. Never include passwords, webhook URLs, recovery links or private identity documents in a general support message.
