Manage manager accounts and the agency hierarchy
Organise imported manager logins, change status, transfer teams and manage account actions safely.
This guide describes the available features. Your account role, assigned modules, signed contract and network plan determine which controls you can use. Reading a guide does not change your access.
Start here
- Import the relevant TikTok Backstage data first; each daily Creator Data import populates agency groups and team accounts and updates their placement from the export.
- Open Manager Management and choose an agency or Unassigned in the list view.
- Check Manager Name, Display Name, Type, Email and Status for the intended person.
- After editing a row, open Actions and choose Save changes. Review the Manager updated confirmation.
- Use the organisation chart or Transfer to another agency for hierarchy changes, and Configure All Managers for module permissions.
Understand the two kinds of manager information
This page manages agency groups and the site’s sub-user accounts: Agency accounts and Team accounts under a parent agency, with an Unassigned group for teams without one. Each daily Creator Data import creates missing groups and manager accounts, moves teams to the agency shown in the export, and clears a team’s placement when its group is blank. Conflicting group labels for one manager preserve its previous placement. Manual manager creation is disabled on this page.
Creator Data identifies a group and manager email but does not identify the agency leader. Known Backstage leaders keep their agency accounts. Other imported groups show No agency login and do not receive a password or login email; their team managers use their own imported email addresses.
Select the relevant agency in the left list to see its account and assigned teams. An empty agency means no teams are assigned there, not necessarily that no manager accounts exist anywhere. Inactive accounts remain on this page for reactivation while being hidden from other menus and views.
Edit the row and save its changes
Change the intended Manager Name, available Display Name and Email fields, Type and Status, then use Actions → Save changes. Fields in a row are saved together. An email must be valid and unique. Agency rows display some imported details as read-only; team rows expose the editable display name and email.
Active, Inactive and Suspended are different status choices. Setting an agency or senior manager inactive or suspended also hides its child managers elsewhere. Use Inactive when you need to preserve the account for reactivation. Changing Type also changes whether an account belongs under an agency; review the resulting hierarchy after saving.
Transfer a team using the list or organisation chart
Transfer to another agency opens a Destination selector. Choose the destination and submit Transfer manager. Unassigned removes the parent-agency association without deleting the account. Destinations must be valid agencies in this network.
The Agency Organisation Chart supports dragging a team card into another agency, and each team also has a Move control. Organisation-chart changes save immediately, so verify the confirmation and the card’s new location. A stale session or invalid destination prevents the change. Refresh before retrying if your session has expired.
Module access, password resets and deletion
Actions includes the manager’s module-access link, Reset and email password and Delete manager. Module access is managed on its own page; saving account details does not grant restricted modules.
Reset and email password changes the login password and emails the manager after confirmation. Confirm the recipient’s address first. Imported groups marked No agency login have no password to reset. If the email fails, the page reports that no password change was made.
Delete manager requires a confirmation that the action cannot be undone. Deletion is different from setting Inactive. Use the reversible status control for a manager who may return and review agency children before removing an agency account.
Missing accounts and diagnostic tools
If imported managers are missing, check that their Backstage source contains a usable email address. Debug Details, when enabled for this page, shows missing manager emails, duplicate sub-user emails and invalid team parent links. Repair Missing Managers creates missing team accounts from this customer’s Backstage manager emails.
The diagnostics do not replace correcting inaccurate source information. After repair, return to the list, confirm the identity and hierarchy, and assign only the modules the person should use.
Frequently asked questions
Where is Add manager?
Manual account creation is disabled here. Site manager accounts are created automatically from TikTok Backstage imports with manager emails. The Management Calendar has its own contact roster and is a different feature.
Why has a whole team disappeared from other pages?
An inactive or suspended parent agency hides the managers beneath it outside Manager Management. Check the parent status as well as each child’s status.
Do dragged organisation-chart changes wait for Save changes?
No. The organisation chart saves a move immediately. Save changes applies to row edits in the list view.
Can a manager manage these accounts?
No. Sub-users are redirected from this owner-only page. Account hierarchy and module assignments are controlled by the network owner.
What happens if the password-reset email fails?
The page reports failure and makes no password change. Correct the address or resolve delivery before retrying.
Still stuck? Note the page name, the step you tried and the exact message shown. Managers and sub-users should contact their network owner; owners should contact their platform administrator. Never include passwords, webhook URLs, recovery links or private identity documents in a general support message.
